On last night, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit the High Museum of Art in downtown Atlanta for the KAWS: DOWN TIME exhibit. This exhibit showcased the talent of KAWS with his acrylic paintings and sculpture such as Darth Vader, Pinocchio, Black Chum and more.
With his style being a mixture of Disney, street, and contemporary, it was incredible that the High Museum allowed such a great exhibit to be shown. KAWS has reworked other famous icons such as Mickey Mouse, the Smurfs and Spongebob!
Check out the images below and make sure you visit the High Museum of Art from February 18 – May 20, 2012 to see KAWS: DOWN TIME intriguing artwork.
Oh…. and bring your camera and stop by the Picasso to Warhol exhibit as well!
