Sony is slowly but surely progressing with providing one of the things that a lot of gamers have been asking for their beloved PS Vita consoles. That would be support for PSOne games. After accidentally showing off a PS1 game in the Vita Store and showcasing a few titles at E3 last month, there’s the question that everyone is asking. When will we finally get the next firmware update?
Sony mentioned that the long awaited and highly anticipated feature will be added in the firmware 1.80 update for the PS Vita. What they haven’t mentioned up to this point, is the expected release date for the new firmware. All that’s known is that it’s set to release sometime during the summer. On top of that, the allotment of PSOne Classics that will be made available on the PS Vita will be released in multiple stages and not all at the same time.
Any of you guys out there eager for this firmware update so you can play your favorite PSOne games? If you are, what PSOne games are you looking to pick up? Do you think that this might be a sign of Sony finally listening up and hearing what the people who support their products are asking for?
